The Texas Department of Public Safety seized more than $600,000 of methamphetamine near Amarillo last Thursday, September 18.

At around 2 p.m. on September 18, a DPS trooper conducted a traffic stop on an eastbound 2010 Chevrolet Malibu on Interstate Highway 40 near Conway. A subsequent search by the officer uncovered 15 bags of methamphetamine in the car’s rocker panels.

Two of the three occupants were arrested and booked into the Carson County Jail with no word on the third. Juan Pablo Luis-Serna, 22, and Abel Abgel Luis-Serna, 23, both of Phoenix, Arizona, were charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The drugs were reportedly being transported from Phoenix, Arizona, to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
