Wednesday on Lubbock's First News, Texas District 19 Congressional candidate Donald May spoke with Tom and Laura about his campaign.

May is running against Randy Neugebauer and Chris Winn for the position. He is a surgeon, farmer, and medical economist. He said one difference among himself and the other challengers is that he will be seen everyday on the floor, and will stand up in front of the public to take questions and to debate. May said, "You are going to see me hit the ground running, just like Ted Cruz did. I'm going to be the Ted Cruz equivalent in the House."

He hopes to eradicate the Affordable Care act and fix other components of the government, including the EPA and IRS. He would like to cut down the size of government and allocate power to the state, away from federal government. He believes this will allow local power to handle poverty.
