The Texas Boys Ranch will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for an addition to their facilities.

The group will hold the groundbreaking of the social services wing as the first of three projects in their “Building Hearts, Minds, and Bodies” capital campaign.

The campaign is a $2,220,000 effort to improve and expand the Texas Boys Ranch. The expansion includes the social services wing, the horse barn, and the education and recreation center.

The ceremony for the first part of the expansion campaign will take place on Thursday, November 1st at 11 a.m. at the Texas Boys Ranch, located at 4810 North CR 2800, three miles east of the Preston Smith International Airport.

The social services wing will add office and counselor rooms to serve the children in their care, and will give the organization the opportunity to expand their services.

A press release from the Texas Boys Ranch says that the groundbreaking will honor the family of Joe and Tracye Stettheimer, which has been a driving force to make the addition a reality.
