Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott Talks Sonogram Law and Obamacare on Lubbock’s First News [AUDIO]

On Wednesday’s edition of Lubbock’s First News, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott spoke with Chad and Rex about various issues around Texas and the Supreme Court.

When asked about the Texas sonogram law, Abbott said the Court of Appeals’s decision to uphold the law was a great victory. He said now the sonogram law will probably go back to the lower courts Abbott also talked about Obamacare, and said that is “looks promising” that the Supreme Court will find it unconstitutional.
“Never before has Congress imposed that kind of power, authority and compulsion on individuals and we believe that the courts will agree with us that it was a complete overreach by the United States Congress.”
Abbott also talked about redistricting, calling the current situation an “assault on state’s rights.” He said if the Supreme Court can reach a decision by the end of the month, then the primaries will take place on April 3rd.
