Texas Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples Discusses Immigration & Campaign For Lieutenant Governor [AUDIO]

Todd Staples, Facebook

On the Tuesday edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Texas Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples spoke with Chad Hasty about his campaign for Texas Lieutenant Governor.

Immigration is one of the major focuses for Staples in his campaign for Lieutenant Governor. He explained that the federal government has failed in their job to protect states from illegal immigration, and now the states must step up to protect themselves.

He added that he has already been fighting this fight as Texas Ag. Commissioner, and plans to continue the fight if elected Lieutenant Governor.

Staples went on to explain that border issues have been ignored in Texas due in part to a lack of strong leadership. He said that it’s not enough to just talk about it, and that the state needs to take strategic action and work together with their sister states in order to rectify this problem.

Polls will be open today until 7 PM.
