Texas Ag Commissioner Sid Miller is unapologetic about a Facebook post he shared that implied dropping a nuclear bomb would "make peace" with "the Muslim world."

Miller is currently on a trade mission in China, and says 18 people have access to his website but he won't turn anyone in.

According to the report from the Dallas Morning News, the photo was originally shared by The Patriots IV Drip 2 and shared by one of the site's admins. The posting also included the text: “#noislamknowpeace” and “#COMETAKE.”

The post has been taken down, but not before it earned 3,000+ likes and more than 300 comments.

In a statement, Texas Democrats decried the posting as “hateful" and called for an apology.

"It is unacceptable for Republican Sid Miller to be promoting such disgusting rhetoric. Sadly, this kind of racist, xenophobic hate speech qualifies you for higher office with Republicans' Tea Party fringe base," said Manny Garcia, Texas Democratic Party deputy executive director. "We hope Sid Miller shows some respect for Texans and the responsibility of holding state office and issues an apology."

Miller apparently did not personally share the photo, but he has no plans on apologizing or punishing the staffer who did share the post.

"We're not going to apologize for the posts that show up on our Facebook page, I don’t know who did it, but I’m not going to start a witch hunt to find out who did," said Todd Smith, a spokesman for Miller's campaign.
