A New Boston, Texas woman has been indicted for three ricin-laced letters sent to two officeholders and a political activist.

Shannon Guess Richardson was named in a three-count indictment returned by a federal grand jury Thursday.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the indictment charges Richardson with mailing threatening letters to President Barack Obama, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and Mark Glaze, director of Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

According to the indictment, Richardson is alleged to have mailed the three threatening letters containing the toxin ricin around May 20th, 2013.

According to the Associated Press, Richardson had reportedly told FBI agents that her husband had sent the letters.

Richardson, a pregnant actress, was arrested on June 7th in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, and has been in custody since then. She played a minor role in the show The Walking Dead and a bit part in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, according to IMDB.

The case is being investigated by the FBI, the U.S. Secret Service, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the New Boston, Texas Police Department, and the Shreveport, Louisiana Police Department.

Prosecution is being handled by three assistant U.S. Attorneys for the Eastern District of Texas.

If convicted, Richardson faces up to five years in federal prison on each charge.
