A new incentive approved today a Lubbock ISD Board of Trustees meeting would encourage retiring or resigning employees to notify their principals earlier, thus allowing more time to find replacements. All full-time contract personnel employed by LISD are eligible for the $1,500 incentive. To get the incentive, employees must announce their resignation or retirement by February 29th of this year. The incentive will be paid as a lump sum at the end of the contract. This makes the second year such an incentive has been available, however it has not been made a permanent part of the LISD protocol.
