Lubbock Police are searching for a woman accused of attempting to run down a motorcycle officer.

The officer, listed as Corporal S. Knobloch, attempted to stop a green Toyota car for speeding around 7:48 a.m. Friday, August 2nd.

Corporal Knobloch followed the vehicle to 6600 Brentwood. The officer assumed that the driver would pull into a driveway of a home on the dead end street, but the driver instead made a u-turn and accelerated directly toward Knobloch.

Knobloch made an emergency turn on his motorcycle, and avoided being hit by mere inches.

The vehicle continued to flee the scene, turning eastbound onto 5400 South Loop 289, where it nearly collided with another vehicle.

A warrant for aggravated assault on a peace officer has been issued for 19-year-old Victoria Duong.
