TEDˣ LubbockWomen will host the Momentum: Racing Forward Together event May 28 at the Texas Tech Museum’s Helen DeVitt Jones Auditorium and Sculpture Court.

Confirmed speakers include Yvonne Racz-Key, Jennie Hill, Wendy Ross, Elizabeth Sharp, PhD, Lisa Ramirez, PhD, and Justina Page. Videos featuring Caroline Casey, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Jane Fonda will also be featured throughout the day. Aliza Wong, PhD, will serve as the Emcee for the event. The event will be facilitated by Margaret Randle, Renee Gonzales Davis and Teddy Jones.

Topics of discussion will include foster care in America, forging a fearless culture, looking past limits, and domestic violence, law, and minority women.

TEDˣ is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like (Technology, Entertainment, and Design) experience. At the event, TED Talk videos and live speakers combine to spark discussion and connection in a small group.

The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. Registration is $25 per person and tickets may be purchased at the door in cash or online at www.eventbrite.com. Tickets include a light breakfast and lunch.
