On the Thursday edition of the Chad Hasty Show, Republican senate nominee Ted Cruz spoke with Chad Hasty about the situation in Lybia and the upcoming vice presidential debate.

Concerning the situation in Lybia, Cruz said that is it appalling how the mainstream media has been "shut out" of this story and how very small an amount of media coverage this terrorist attack has gotten.

"We have a president who is unable to utter the words 'radical Islamic terrorists.' And you cannot win a war on terror if you're not even aware you're fighting one. This is the president who's foreign policy consistently has been a policy of coddling the enemies of the United States."

Cruz also gave his thoughts on tonight debate between Paul Ryan and Joe Biden. He hopes to see Ryan continue highlighting the stark contrast between the Romney campaign and the Obama campaign. He also related his own debate experience with Democratic senate candidate Paul Sadler. Cruz said that it was "unfortunate" that Sadler has resorted to name-calling and personal attacks in his campaign, but Cruz insists that his campaign will not resort to those tactics and will focus solely on the issues.

Ted Cruz will be in Lubbock tonight at the Lubbock Country Republican Party watch party for the vice presidential debate at 6 PM at the Texas Tech Rawls Golf Course.
