On Friday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, broadcast live from The Resurgent Gathering in Austin Texas, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz joined the program to discuss progress being made on conservative issues, as well as the challenges being faced by conservatives in America, including the rise of democratic socialism.

Cruz said, while talking about the attacks by raucous liberals, and the need for conservatives to fight against their efforts,

The hard left right now, they're angry, they're energized, they hate President Trump. And that means for those of us who love liberty, who believe in the American free enterprise system, who want low taxes, low regulations, lots of jobs, who want our Constitutional rights protected, we've got to stand up and defend that freedom. And we've got to do it between now and election day, because the hard left are coming hard, trying to stop all this positive progress. And it's up to us to make sure we keep moving forward rather than see the country turn around and head back.

While discussing the sudden and brazen rise of declared democratic socialists in the United States, Cruz said,

If you look at the democratic party, the lesson that they took from the 2016 election, was that Hillary Clinton was too moderate, and they needed more Bernie Sanders and more Elizabeth Warren.

Cruz and Hasty also discussed Cruz's Democrat challenger Beto O'Rourke, border security, and more.
