He’s not an elected official yet, but Ted Cruz, the Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate will speak tonight at the Republican National Convention in Tampa.  On Lubbock’s First News on KFYO, Cruz gave a preview of his speech.

“What I intend to focus on is what all the speakers at the convention are  focusing on, which is the fundamental choice  that this nation faces in November.  It’s a choice between continuing down the road of the Obama Democrats, of more  and more spending, more and more debt, and more and more and more government control of the economy in our lives, or getting back to the founding principles of our nation, of limited government, of free markets and  individual liberty.”

Cruz is expected to speak at the convention tonight between 8:00 and 9:00 Central Time.
