Ted Cruz and David Dewhurst are in a run-off for the Republican nomination for the Senate.  On Lubbock’s First News on KYFO, Cruz was asked about his priorities if he is elected:

“My very first priority in the U.S. Senate will be to lead the fight to repeal every single word of Obamacare.  And that’s going to be an epic battle.  We need the next senator from Texas to stand up and lead the fight to repeal every word of it.  My second priority, and it’s closely related to the first, is to lead the effort to dramatically shrink the size, power and spending of the federal government.”

Thursday morning at 11:30, Cruz will be in Lubbock to speak before the Republican Women’s Club at the Lake Ridge Country Club.
