Four Texas Tech professors have been given a four year $1.2 million grant to help them develop explosive detection systems. The grant comes from the Office of Naval Research, and funds the technology which could be used by the Department of Homeland Security. This technology would also have many military applications. Professors Louisa Hope-Weeks, Brandon Weeks, Greg McKenna, and Michelle Pantoya received the grant and will use it to develop the technology.
