Texas Tech will join almost 5,000 NFL, College, and High School Football teams across America as they participate in a coin toss commemorating Ronald Reagan and his love of football. The Ronald Reagan Centennial National Football Coin Toss is in honor of former president Ronald Reagan’s 100th birthday. Teams across the country will flip the commemorative coin at the start of each game played the weekend of September 23-26, 2011. The coin is imprinted with Reagan’s face in front of a waving American flag. The coin flip will be part of Lubbock’s Ronald Reagan Centennial Celebration, sponsored by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation.
