Coronado and Frenship Marching Bands will perform a special show on Friday to honor area veterans

Headquartered in Houston, the PTSD Foundation is a nationwide network that helps both service members and their families with the transition from war zone stations to home. The Foundation provides help lines and support groups involving volunteers who have "been there", and also provides assistance for temporary housing through "Camp Hope".

Starting tonight and going through the weekend you and your family can take in a terrific movie and at the same time help support the Texas South Plains Honor Flight program. The Stars and Stripes Drive In here Lubbock is showing the latest “Captain America” movie – entitled “Captain America: Winter Soldier” – and tonight and tomorrow night, the Drive In will donate 10% of their ticket and concess

“This is a fantastic program to present awareness to our community about our World War II era and all veterans,” Shell said.

“We are here to make sure students and their families achieve academic and personal success."

Among the events this week…the Wounded Warrior Game…Texas Tech vs. Oklahoma State on Saturday. Medal of Honor winner Sal Giunta will be at the game.
