Col. Mike Mullane has received a number of awards, including the Air Force Distinguished Flying Cross, Legion of Merit, and the NASA Space Flight Medal. He has also been inducted into the International Space Hall of Fame.

A special presentation will be given by the Vietnamese Student Association, and traditional Vietnamese food will be served.
The commemoration will, among other things, thank and honor the veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice on behalf of a grateful nation, including personnel held as Prisoners of War or listed as Missing in Action.
Rutan flew more than 325 combat missions will serving in the Air Force in Vietnam. He was also the first person to fly nonstop around the world without refueling in 1986.
The Vietnam Center was the first U.S. institution to establish a formal relationship with Vietnam.
