Discussion of closing some municipal swimming pools comes during Council talks regarding the drought contingency plan for the spring and summer of this year.

City Councilman Todd Klein announced on Facebook this morning that he would not run for Mayor.

Some of the topics to be discussed include strategic planning and strategic budgeting, and residents of any district are invited to bring any suggestions, concerns, or questions to the meeting.

Currently, Lubbock City Council meetings generally begin at 7:30 a.m. with a citizen comment period.

Some of the discussion topics will include the City of Lubbock Health Department, Lubbock Power and Light, the City budget, and other questions from attendees.
