Amarillo was 11th, and Lubbock 12th, in the state Sales Tax Allocations for June 2021. Both cities also saw their Year-to-Date payments exceed $40 million
According to Texas Comptroller Susan Combs, sales tax revenue for the month of July was $2.34 billion which is up 6.3 percent compared to July 2013. Of the more than $2 billion, $707 million will be distributed to local government units in July. Texas Comptroller Susan Combs said the growth reflected strength in both business and consumer spending.
The state sales tax revenue for April 2014 has been released. Texas sales tax revenue totals more than $2.27 billion dollars which is 5.6 percent higher than April of 2013.
