According to Lubbock Police, 36-year-old Guadalupe Alejandro was traveling northbound when he reportedly ran a stop sign and hit a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Sierra Harris.
A male employee was reportedly taking out trash from the Dairy Queen at 69th Street and University Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, when a man attacked him with a baseball bat.
Upon further investigation, officers realized that the suspect was still in the home in the 2000 block of East 15th Street, and called in the K-9 unit.
Officers found the victim, 24-year-old Joseph Pete Castner, in front of Kong’s Bar at 17th Street and Texas Avenue. Castner had suffered gunshot wounds to the leg and one to the shoulder.
Sixty-one year-old Mary Helen Vela reportedly opened the door and according to Lubbock Police, lunged at Officer Pringle with a box cutter.
