Former Lubbock ISD Superintendent Karen Garza left the district after accepting the position of superintendent for the Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia.
Thursday, May 30th and the following Friday are final exam and early dismissal days for students in LISD.

Robertson has served as superintendent of Southland and Roosevelt ISDs, and will serve as interim pending official resignation of current LISD Superintendent Karen Garza.
The Fairfax County School Board unanimously selected Garza as their preferred candidate for superintendent of the 181,000 student district.
