The group says that the original community planning effort for this program begin in 2011, when some Lubbock business leaders expressed their desire to design and institute a community-wide strategic plan as Lubbock continues to grow.
The purpose of the August 7th forum is to make information available on workforce development, training grants, expanding markets, and other business growth opportunities.
Judging is based on the Chamber’s excellence in operations, member services, and community leadership.
The funds go toward assisting the Chamber in promoting local businesses through events that showcase their sponsorship.
The award is given by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives, and the Circle of Champions has recognized top chamber membership sales persons for almost a decade.
Those featured at the event will include Texas Tech Chancellor Kent Hance, Tech President Guy Bailey, and TTUHSC President Tedd Mitchell.
Tim Collins from the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce said it’s in the hands of
