Congressman Jodey Arrington says Muller Report confirmed what many Americans already thought. Congressman Mac Thornberry also said Congress should move on to different issues.
"I don't think another president has done any better in recent history, if not ever, in creating opportunity and furnishing the brand of America that this is the land of opportunity, and with opportunities, with real security, and with freedom, this will continue to be the shining city on the hill," Arrington said.
"This is squarely, statutorily acceptable, and constitutionally acceptable, for the president to exorcise. If he didn't, I believe he would be derelict in his duty as commander in chief to protect the citizens and defend our severn borders. It's sad that congress couldn't figure out a solution. He gave us enough runway to do it," Arrington said.
New legislation regarding the congressional budget process could require members of Congress to stay at work in Washington until they pass a budget every year.
