"The Science Spectrum turns into a zoo for 4 days. Obviously there's no zoo in Lubbock, and so people get really excited about all these animals coming to town," Nesmith said.

"They put this event on every year and they invite lots of different community partners to come out and talk about severe weather preparedness, disaster preparedness, and obviously to talk about weather science," Nesmith said.

"For no more than a normal day visiting the Science Spectrum, as far as price goes, you can come and do the BubbleFest activities on top of that," Nesmith said.

The movie is said to be a motivational film that will get kids excited about careers in math, science, and engineering.

The Science Spectrum's Severe Weather Awareness Day will be held this Saturday with plenty activities for children and their parents. The Weather Channel's Sarah Dillingham is the featured guest
