Suspect in Wagner Park Shooting Arrested

The suspect in the shooting of Jose Gomez in Wagner Park Monday has been taken in to custody.

29-year-old Stephen Joseph Buckley Jr. was arrested in Levelland in connection to the murder.

On Monday, just before 6:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 2600 block of Flint Avenue at Wagner Park. When officers arrived, they found multiple people trying to aid the victim.

Gomez was taken to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
