Lubbock police were called to the Stripes convenience store in the 1600 block of 19th St. around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday night on the report of an armed robbery.

According to police, a black male suspect wearing an orange shirt and cargo pants threatened the clerk with a knife and stole a bag of potato chips.

The suspect was arrested at the convenience store once back-up arrived. According to KAMC News, the Homeless Outreach Team was also on the scene.

It has not been confirmed whether or not the suspect was homeless. His name has not been released.
