Sundown Boil Water Notice to Last Until at Least Noon Friday

The City of Sundown will be under a boil water notice until at least noon tomorrow, say Sundown City Officials. The West Texas town has been put under the boil water notice by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

The boil water notice is due to recent unspecified conditions in the Sundown water system, which could include breaks in water mains. All users of the City of Sundown water system are told to boil their water prior to consumption. Residents are urged to boil all water used for drinking, cooking, and ice making for two minutes, or to use bottled water.

Officials are awaiting samples of the water to return from the lab before deeming the water safe to drink.
