Subject Shot Following Drug Deal in Lubbock

Lubbock Police Department received a call Friday around 8:15 a.m. from a subject who had been shot following a conflict.

According to LPD, the individual was shot around the 2900 block of Baylor following a dispute, resulting in one other person being stabbed numerous times. Neither subject is believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries.

The conflict is reported to have ensued after the person intended to purchase marijuana, although the cause of the conflict is unknown at this time.

A pistol and a large amount of marijuana were among the items found at the scene, reports LPD.
