Stork’s Nest To Host 11th Annual Community Baby Shower This Month [AUDIO]

On Friday’s edition of Lubbock’s First News, Amy Johnson-Rubio from Stork’s News talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about the organization’s upcoming baby shower event.

Stork’s Nest is an organization under March of Dimes that helps provides women with much-needed baby supplies as an incentive to sign up for prenatal care and educational classes on pregnancy. Johnson-Rubio said women can receive points for attended various prenatal events and signing up for programs such as WIC or Medicaid if they are eligible, and that any pregnant woman can sign up regardless of their income or situation.

The baby shower will take place Saturday, July 20th from 10 AM to 2 PM at K-Mart on 6501 University Avenue. Any and all new baby items, as well as monetary donations, are welcome.
