Steve Massengale Defends Past LISD Property Purchase [INTERVIEW]

Friday on The Chad Hasty Show, Lubbock City Council District 4 candidate Steve Massengale joined the show in the KFYO studio to talk about his campaign and plans if he is elected to the position.

Massengale and Hasty discussed the concerns of citizens that he is hearing most about, the size of the city's debt, the purchase of Citizen's Tower by the city, and other topics.

While talking about the city of Lubbock's large debt, Massengale said, "The debt is an issue, it's widely publicized. We've obviously piled on to the point we're at 1.1 billion." Massengale continued, saying,

Government held unaccountable grows.

When asked by Hasty about how he now views Lubbock Independent School District's purchase of the A-Ivie's building at 19th & Ave. Q, Massengale said,

I still think the A-Ivie's purchase was wise.
