Amber Alert Discontinued for Missing 13 Year-Old Girl from Cuero [UPDATED]

Just after 12 Noon, the Texas Department of Public Safety and DeWitt County Sheriff’s Office officials issued the cancellation of the Amber Alert.

According to KENS 5 in San Antonio, Hughes was located by law enforcement and is safe and sound.

The Texas Department of Public Safety has issued a statewide Amber Alert for a missing 13 year-old girl.

The DeWitt County Sheriff’s Department is searching for Phoebe Nichole Hughes (pictured, right). Hughes is described as a white, female, 13 years old born on April 18, 2001. She’s 5’4″, 150 lbs with brown hair, brown eyes.  Hughes was last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue jean capris pants.

The suspect connected with Hughes disappearance is 34 year-old Eric Castillo (pictured, below). Castillo is described as a white male, born on June 23, 1979, 185 lbs, red hair with brown eyes. Castilllo has tattoos on his left ankle, back, chest, left arm, left leg, neck, right ankle, right arm, right leg, upper left leg and upper arm.

Castillo is driving a black 2010 Chevrolet Camaro with a Texas license plate: BX8-B009. The Camaro has a Marine Corps sticker on the back windshield.  Castillo was last heard from in Cuero, Texas.

Law enforcement officials believe Hughes is in grave or immediate danger.
