State Of The City Address

Today, Mayor Tom Martin will deliver the State of the City address. To be completely honest most people probably don’t care about this address or what is said. I wish that would change, but I don’t think it will. I’m not sure what the Mayor will say today, but I thought it would be interesting to see what you thought the Mayor should say. (More after the jump)If you were giving the speech today about the State of the City. What would you say? How is Lubbock doing? Is Lubbock better or worse than it was 10 years ago?

Wednesday on the show, I will be giving a short State of the City address. Overall, I think we are doing well but we do have some issues. Water, money/budget, homeless, construction, and transportation are all areas that need attention. On Wednesday, I will hit on those and other issues facing Lubbock.

I’m sure the Mayor’s will be more cheerful than mine, but I hope he will discuss real issues facing Lubbock and steps the City will take to solve those issues.

For now though, I’d like to hear your thoughts on the State of Lubbock.
