The two-day Spring into Green Conference sponsored by the West Texas Branch of the U.S. Green Building Council starts tomorrow at the Texas Tech Rawls College of Business.  The second day of the conference, Friday April 20, will be held at the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts. This year's theme is "Water: The West Texas Update".

Tomorrow night, a free opening event will be held from 5:30p-7p at the Texas Tech Rawls College of Business.  It will feature keynote speaker Brock Dolman, Director, WATER Institute, Occidental Arts and Ecology Center.

On Friday, the second day of the conference will run from 8a-5p at the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts.  Some of the features speakers during the Friday portion of the conference include: Billy Collins, United States Poet Laureate 2001 - 2003; Lewis McMahan, Member of the Texas Water Development Board; Amy Hardberger, Texas Tech School of Law; Aubrey Spear, City of Lubbock Director of Water Resources; Ed Archuleta, President/CEO of El Paso Water Utilities and Karen Guz, Director of Conservation, San Antonio Water System.
