Tuesday on Lubbock's First News, Nancy Neil with Lubbock Parks and Recreation gave details on some activities for kids taking place over the Spring break.

Hodges Elementary School is offering a few ways to occupy the kids ages 6-12 this week. Throughout the week they are hosting a camp for kids to enjoy arts and crafts, games, and outdoor activities. Neal said, "We got some very creative folks over there that really come up with some great things for the kids to do." She suggested calling at (806) 767-3706 to sign up your child for any remaining availability. You can take your child for one day or for the rest of the week. They will need to bring a lunch.

In addition, there will be a workshop at the Arboretum from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and a new At the Scene of the Crime activity on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. The Saturday activity is $15 per child. Call the number listed above to sign up your child get more information.
