Spike Wideman and Andy Turner with the Miracles Christmas Parade visited with Lubbock's First News to talk about this year's event.

The 10th Annual Miracles Christmas Parade is scheduled for  Saturday, December 13,  at 6 p.m. The parade route begins at 34th Street and Avenue Q and proceeds west to Indiana Avenue.

The Coronado High School band will lead the parade, which will last approximately 90 minutes. There will be antique firetrucks, vintage cars and firetrucks, plus special appearances by Smokey the Bear and Santa Claus.

Those attending the parade are encouraged to bring unwrapped toys and donate them to the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots program along the parade route.

Battery Joe's will provide vouchers for any families that are recipients of gifts from the Toy For Tots program good for a set of batteries to operate teh toys if needed.
