Space Center Houston to Hold Space Shuttle Replica Naming Contest

Starting tomorrow, Space Center Houston will start a contest to allow a Texan to name the Space Shuttle replica which will be housed at the Johnson Space Center.

The shuttle replica will sit atop a 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA) as part of a new $12 million, six-story attraction currently under development at Space Center Houston. It is scheduled to open in 2015.

Names can be submitted at the website, www.nametheshuttle.com. The deadline to submit names is 12 Noon on September 2, 2013.
