Days after a portion of its roof collapsed due to a near-historic winter snowstorm, Lubbock's South Plains Mall has reopened most of its stores.

The mall verified it would be open Wednesday, Dec. 30 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on its official Twitter page. Though the mall's southern portion, anchor stores and Women's Dillard's are all open, it's still a good idea to call ahead to specific stores if you plan to make the trip.

The roof of the mall's northeast entrance near Dillard's and Boot Barn collapsed earlier this week. No one was injured during the incident.

Lubbock continues to dig itself out of the intense snowstorm that has left most roads treacherous, if not impassable -- especially for smaller vehicles. Mayor Glen Robertson declared a state of disaster for the city Sunday night.
