South Plains College will host their annual Christmas tree lighting event this week.

The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 29th at the entrance to the college in Levelland.

The evening begins at 5:45 p.m. with carols sung by the ABC School kindergarten class.

Santa Claus will arrive in a horse-drawn carriage, and carriage rides will be available to patrons, while Santa visits with participants in the Sundown Room in the Student Center.

The tree will be lit at 6 p.m. by Dr. Kelvin Sharp, president of South Plains College.

Entertainment will be provided by guitarist Derek Bohl, and hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies will be served.
