South Plains College will offer two separate youth camps over the summer.

The “Explore the Arts" camp begins July 24th through July 27th in the Fine Arts building.

The cost of the camp is $75 per student.

The four-day camp will feature rotating classes from 9 a.m. to noon for participants. Students 5 years old to 11 in age will attend theater, visual art, music and photography. Participants ages 12 to 17 can create their own camp schedule by registering for the specific classes they wish to attend.

A closing event will feature all of the participating students and showcase what they have learned or created during the camp.

South Plains College will also host the Blues, Rock and Country Music Ensemble Camp for youth ages 10 to 15 who want to be in a band.

The four-day camp is set for 9 a.m. to noon July 10th through July 13th in the SPC Creative Arts building.

The cost of the camp is $75 per student. Registration is open to students interested in learning to play the guitar, bass, drums, keyboards or vocals. Previous experience is not required.

Registration will be accepted through the first day of the camp.
