South Plains College has announced their nominees for the 2013 Barton Service Award.

The 2013 Jerry Barton Service Achievement Award nominees are Sandy Israel with the Levelland Evening Lions Club, Mike Mamantov with Kiwanis, Dr. George W. Payne Jr. with the Levelland Noon Rotary, Levelland Young Professionals, and the Levelland Breakfast Rotary.

The Levelland service clubs nominate an outstanding member for the award. The member has gone above and beyond through service to their club and community.

“Volunteers make the community a better place to live,” said Dane Dewbre, associate dean of College Relations. “Each year, South Plains College honors a community member for her or her contributions to the City of Levelland.

The winner will be announced during the South Plains College annual Service Club Luncheon, which will be held on Wednesday, April 10th in the Sundown Room of the Student Center.
