Yesterday (March 26), was a busy news day across Lubbock and the rest of the state.  Here are some of the major stories.

Lubbock Police are investigating a dead body found at an abandoned apartment complex. District 1 Councilman Victor Hernandez is calling for the complex to be torn down.

KVUE-TV out of Austin has the latest about the accident on I-35 in Salado which stranded motorists and closed the state's busiest interstate for hours.

The Texas Tribune has the facts and figures on a Census Bureau study which shows Texas counties and metro areas continuing at some of the highest rates in the country.

Has Will Ferrell made another bomb at the box office?  ABC News reviews "Get Hard" which is released today in theaters.
