If you are a local farm owner or a backyard gardener and want to learn about the benefits and challenges of being a local grower check out the Small Farm and Local Food Conference April 2, at the Texas A&M Agrilife Research and Extension Center.

With a lunch included, the $35 cost covers a day of topics that can improve your profits and yield as a local food source. Working with farmer's markets and restaurants,  high tunnel production, reducing financial risk, and an opportunity to network with other local producers.

The conference will span from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday April 2, beginning with registration.
