Small Airplane Catches Fire Friday Morning at Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport

A small aircraft caught fire this morning at Lubbock’s airport.

A Cessna airplane belonging to an individual caught fire at the Lubbock Preston Smith International airport around 9:30 Friday morning after landing.

The airport fire department put out the fire soon after it began. Both people inside the plane managed to escape without harm.

No word yet on what caused the fire.
