Slide Road in South Lubbock to Undergo Improvement Project Through September

Sections of Slide Road in South Lubbock will undergo improvements over the next two months.

TxDOT is set to begin a project Tuesday morning, which will make pavement repairs to various areas of Slide Road from South Loop 289 to 98^th Street.

Sometime around August 15^th, resurfacing work on the road will commence, and is expected to take four to five weeks to complete.

Motorists can expect various single and double lane closures during each construction phase. Message boards have been placed in the area to inform drivers of the impending lane closures.
