Singer Randy Travis Involved in Altercation Near Plano

A country singer from Texas with a recent history of alcohol problems is in hot water yet again.

Randy Travis was involved in a fight in a church parking lot overnight in Plano.

According to TMZ.com, police were called to the church parking lot around 1 a.m., and Travis is believed to have been intoxicated during the fight, but the police report only cites Travis with simple assault, and does not reference alcohol.

His lawyer says that Travis’ fiancé was involved in the argument, and was arguing with her estranged husband when Travis stepped in, but authorities say that the other man in the altercation is not the woman’s husband.

Travis was arrested on August 7^th, when police found him reportedly intoxicated and naked after crashing his car near his home in Tioga, Texas.
