On Thursday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Ronnie Miller from Sidecar Theater Company talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about their upcoming production of "Hairspray."

Sidecar Theater Company, who brought the show "Civil War" to Lubbock back in January, is now bringing the 60's inspired musical "Hairspray" to Lubbock starting this weekend. Miller, who is the general manager of the company and a cast member, said the show features over 30 singers and dancers, plus a live band, and that the show has a great message on integration and being yourself. Cast members Annie Nichols and Cory Godfried also preformed a few numbers from the show.

"Hairspray" opens on Thursday, August 15th, at 8:00 PM at the Underwood Center. The show will run from August 15th to August 18th, and August 22nd through August 28th. Tickets are $28 per person, and can be purchased at National Travel or by calling 806-797-7799.
