Monday, Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller joined the The Chad Hasty Show to talk about statements he made last week during interviews and on social media about controversial topics and the media buzz surrounding them.

The controversy was covered in this Texas Tribune article, a KUT (Austin public radio) interview, and an opinion piece by KFYO's Chad Hasty.

Hasty invited Commissioner Miller to explain his side of the KUT interview. Miller accused KUT of selective editing. "They tried to make it look like I didn't care what I put up [on Facebook]," Miller said.

About the hype over the media coverage of fake news, Miller said: "The big picture is, it's the liberals trying to drive the train to claim that [President-elect Donald] Trump is not legitimate."

Miller and Hasty also discussed the transition of Trump into the White House and the possibility of former Texas Governor Rick Perry being appointed as Secretary of Energy or another cabinet post.
