Bio of Father Joseph Noonan, OFM
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Fr. Joseph has lived in Lubbock since December 2000. He has been pastor of Corpus Christi Catholic Church since his arrival. Fr. Joseph has been a Franciscan since August 1981 and was ordained in June 1987. He and the community to which he belongs holds to the long-standing traditions within the Church concerning liturgy and religious life which includes saying only the Latin Mass. He continues to travel extensively throughout the U.S. providing Holy Mass and the traditional Sacraments to Catholics who oppose the heresy of Modernism and all of its effects.
Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church
Corpus Christi was established in September 1991 as a Franciscan Mission. Since December 2000, it has functioned as a Catholic parish. Masses at Corpus Christi Church are said exclusively in Latin following the ancient laws and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church. Despite local controversies, this parish is Roman Catholic in every sense of the word and stands firm in its right to function in West Texas.
