Should the Lubbock City Council Ban Texting While Driving? [POLL]

Cole Shooter, KFYO.com

State lawmakers didn’t pass a ban on texting while driving during the legislative session. That doesn’t mean the debate is over though,¬†especially here locally. Mayor Glen Robertson and the Lubbock City Council are reportedly thinking about addressing the issue. The Mayor is on the record as support a city ban on texting while driving. Councilman Jim Gerlt brought up the idea last year so it’s safe to say he supports a ban.

What do you think? Should the Lubbock City Council pass a ban on texting while driving?
